Overland Expo East 2017 – Charactors
Quality time…
This year was my second time attending the Overland Expo East and my first time participating in the many classes and discussions offered at the event. The classes were conducted and taught by seasoned professionals who shared their experiences and knowledge with attendees. For some, the classes were a refresher course and for others (like me) were first time experiences learning about specific subjects such as “Crossing International Borders”. This course was taught by an amazing couple named Brenton and Shannon who spent 2 years traveling from Texas through South America while crossing 28 borders and racking up over 31,000 miles in their 1987 Toyota 4Runner! They had so much knowledge to share about their real world experiences that is was one of my highlights of the weekend. Its amazing how much “you think you know” until you meet a pro who has waaaay more knowledge than you. Plain and simple, I loved it! I spread my course schedule out over the 3 days to average about 3 – 4 classes per day. It worked out perfectly as I had plenty of time to see other parts of the show and free time to hang out with other attendees.
Here are some of the many #charactors who I met over the weekend…
